Addressing Poverty in a Holistic Approach

Our CBE Initiative is aimed at tackling the persistent cycle of poverty in rural Nigeria by emphasizing holistic solutions that empower women.

The Problem

A major challenge in Nigeria is poverty, which disproportionately affects women. They face inadequate living conditions, health issues, and poor nutrition, particularly in rural areas, leading to feelings of exclusion and hopelessness. Additionally, a significant gender gap restricts opportunities for women.

Our Solution

With our partner support we are empowering women by providing the training and resources they need to start small businesses and rise above poverty.

Women play a crucial role in disrupting the cycle of poverty in Nigeria. When women thrive, their success radiates to those around them, uplifting the entire community. The Nnadozie Foundation is dedicated to reducing poverty through its impactful CBE initiative for women and girls. We equip women with the necessary training and resources to launch small businesses and thrive. In addition to training, we also offer micro-grants to facilitate successful business ventures.

Business Management and Financial Literacy

Beneficiaries receive guidance on key business practices such as record keeping, marketing, customer service, and cash flow management. After training, participants are assessed on their understanding of the material. Experienced experts and successful female entrepreneurs mentor them, sharing valuable insights.

Personal Development

This includes helping participants cultivate a positive mindset, enhance their communication and interpersonal skills, develop leadership abilities, and build their confidence. We see this as an essential part of our mission to alleviate poverty.

Access to Micro Grants

Women and girls who successfully finish their training can apply for micro grants of up to 100K Naira. These funds are designed to help them launch or grow their businesses. Microgrants primarily support small enterprises, providing a significant contribution towards the initial costs of starting up. These microgrants create a ripple effect within communities, as successful women-led businesses can inspire others, contribute to local economies, and promote gender equality in the entrepreneurial landscape. By empowering women and girls through financial support and training, we are taking meaningful steps towards building a more equitable and prosperous future for all.

We remain committed to offering business guidance, expert assistance, and valuable market connections for up to one year. Our comprehensive monitoring tools, along with regular visits and calls to each business owner, enable us to effectively track their progress.

Beneficiary Feedback

“I lost my husband few weeks into this pregnancy and I have been completely devastated. I did not realize that this had affected my blood pressure, until the nurse checked me today. I want to thank you for caring about us. I have learnt how to take better care of myself and hopefully I will visit the health centre for antenatal care. Thank you Nnadozie foundation”.
